LAW ENFORCEMENT

The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. April 12

9:55 a.m., 201 Charger Blvd.- An assault was reported at Champion High School.

5:20 p.m., 3500 block I-10 E.- A four-vehicle accident was reported on the interstate on the onramp near Starbucks.

6:41 p.m., 200 block N. Esser Rd.- A woman reported her 16-year-old daughter was lost because they were new the area. All she knew was her daughter was near a bridge. Although the daughter reassured everyone she’d find her way around town, officers tracked her down.

7:13 p.m., 100 block S. Esser Rd.- A vehicle at the air pumps at Metro Stop reportedly smelled like weed.

 

April 14

2:23 p.m., 200 block Branson Falls- A woman wasn’t happy when her sister set up a fraudulent utilities account under her name without her permission.

4:51 p.m., 100 block Desert Flower- A man said he was being harassed by his ex-wife who was currently sitting outside his house. He said she might be combative with law enforcement.

5:13 p.m., 1000 Diamond- A woman snitched on six kids taking a dip in the pool because the rules don’t allow anyone under 17 without supervision. Officers found no disorderly conduct, and the kids were just playing.

10:16 p.m., 39370 I-10 W.- Fifteen teenagers pulled up each in separate vehicles. A woman was concerned they might damage property.

 

April 15

9:04 a.m., 400 block E. Bandera Rd.- A woman reported her 2019 Dodge Ram was stolen overnight. She said she had it worked on the day before but didn’t recall how she got home. It was at the place she left it.

10:31 a.m., 125 Crosspoint- An individual was arrested after a woman reported her vehicle had been broken into less than an hour before.

6:24 p.m., 1500 block S. Main St.- A man was arrested during a traffic stop, and a woman later called wanting to know why.

7:15 p.m., 1381 S. Main St.- Four women and one man were spotted having a verbal argument outside of Walmart. Three of the women were yelling an older woman, and the man was trying to calm everyone down.

 

April 16

12:53 a.m., Herff Road and Oak Park- A woman was arrested during a traffic stop.

7:40 a.m., 100 block N. Main St.- A man wanted to know the rules about drinking and walking down Main Street.

3:23 p.m., 500 block S. School St.- A woman wanted the father of her children off her property, saying he lost rights to see his children in court.

4:03 p.m., 100 block N. Main St.- An employee at The Dienger Trading Co. wanted the roadies setting up for an event at Main Plaza to chill out with the music.

5:19 p.m., 100 block Noble Woods- A woman said an employee got upset about instructions they were given, so they abandoned the company vehicle where it was along with the trailer they were pulling and the equipment on the trailer.

9:19 p.m., 540 MM I-10 E.- A red Ford Expedition rolled over on the interstate, and other drivers were rushing to get the driver out of the vehicle. The woman was reported by callers as being shocked and having injuries.

9:43 p.m., 100 block E. Hampton Run- A man who had been drinking and smoking weed since 11 a.m. fell and hit his head. He was bleeding badly.

 

April 17

11:48 a.m., 205 James- It’s unclear why, but a security guard was concerned about two Hispanic men in a black Mustang.

3:22 p.m., 1400 block E. Blanco Rd.- Three or four teenage boys were speeding in a dually and yelling profanities.

4:05 p.m., 1481 S. Main St.- An employee at Dog and Pony Grill caught a loose dog. One can imagine what they might catch next.

4:15 p.m., 800 block Hwy 46 E.- A woman reported a man went into a corner store smelling of alcohol with a child.

10:23 p.m., 134 Menger Springs- A 17-year-old boy said he was assaulted when he went into the emergency room, but he wasn’t being very cooperative with staff.

 

Kendall County Sheriff’s Office

April 12

3:36 a.m., 100 block Idlewilde Blvd.- A woman suspected her neighbor was smoking near her home.

11:53 a.m., Staudt Street- A man turned himself in for an active warrant.

3:16 p.m., 100 block Mark Twain- A 15-year-old girl notified deputies she was staying at her best friend’s house and didn’t want to go home because her mother was abusive. She then said her mother was sending threatening messages to her and her friend’s mother.

4:33 p.m., 400 block Los Indio Ranch Rd.- A man reported an Amazon truck almost hit his daughter, so he blocked the truck in to keep them on the scene. He spoke to the driver and the conversation “almost became confrontational.” Deputies told him to move so the driver could leave.

 

April 13

9:35 a.m., 1100 Grand- A woman reported someone was trying to fraudulently obtain a copy of her recently deceased father’s death certificate.

10:43 a.m., 30875 I-10 J- A man wanted deputies to stand by while he fired his 6-foot 8-inch employee because he suspected they would be upset upon termination and didn’t know how he’d react.

6:57 p.m., 10 Cascade Caverns- A mother reported her son was assaulted at Boerne Middle School South while waiting for the bus.

7:27 p.m., 1200 block S. Main St.- Two individuals were detained after a K9 search during a traffic stop.

9 p.m., 700 N. School St.- A father called deputies to let them know his daughter and other Geneva students were trying to get into the cemetery to film a scene for their cinematography class.

 

April 14

7:27 a.m., 518 MM I-10 E.- A driver for Kerrville Funeral Home on their way to pick up a body from Holt & Holt was stopped after someone inexplicably reported the vehicle for potentially smuggling people.

10:06 a.m., 531 MM I-10 E.- An individual was arrested during a traffic stop.

10:31 a.m., 100 block W. Dove Court- A woman called 911 when her 45-year-old son fell asleep in the garage, and she couldn’t wake them up. Everything seemed to work out OK.

11:29 a.m., 2300 block FM 473- More goats took to the streets.

3:17 p.m., 100 block Blaschke Rd.- A man followed up with deputies because someone drove through his fence the previous Tuesday.

5:45 p.m., 700 block Hwy 46 E.- A woman reported a Kia a that was swerving in and out of lanes. The driver was having an allergic reaction to Benadryl and had family pick her up.

8:23 p.m., 200 block Zoeller Lane- A woman said a vehicle almost hit her while she was moving a dead animal out of the road. She said the driver then fired a gun when she tried to get their license plate.

 

April 15

8:34 a.m., 100 block Sabine Rd.- Two dogs teamed up to chase a woman’s cat, and one of them successfully caught the feline.

1:18 a.m., 100 block Cool Rock- Construction material was stolen from a job site.

6:24 p.m., 1500 block S. Main St.- A man was arrested during a traffic stop.

9:16 p.m., 100 block Sage Brush- A woman heard about 10 gunshots behind Cordillera Trace, which she said has happened four or five times in the past.

 

April 16

2:29 a.m., 30 block Hwy 87 N.- A man was arrested after someone found him passed out on the ground.

7:51 a.m., 20 block FM 1621- A girl’s horse got loose, and the family needed help tracking it down.

9:51 a.m., 100 block Edge Falls Rd.- A woman was upset about a four-wheeler riding place that opened because it was causing people to speed and drink in the area.

3:51 p.m., 300 block Meadow Lane- A man found his Ford F250 was broken into. He found the door open and damaged.

7:47 p.m., 200 block Wollschlaeger Dr.- A 17-year-old boy started attacking his parents when they wouldn’t let him leave while having a panic attack.

9:43 p.m., 200 block Horse Hill- Three teenagers took off running when a woman went outside to find out why there were walking around houses.

 

April 17

1:14 a.m., 580 Sunflower- A young boy reported his father was abusing his 15-year-old sister. He and his sister were able to get out of their apartment and wait for deputies and another family member to arrive on the scene.

9:55 a.m., Hwy 46 and Los Indios Ranch Road- A woman reportedly broken her foot after hitting a deer with a 17-month-old child in the back seat. The child did not appear injured.

6:22 p.m., FM 473 and Edge Falls Road- A man reported someone threw a beer at his vehicle.

7:22 p.m., 500 block Rio Brazos Dr.- A woman was upset a 10-year-old boy was “punching water bottles,” and that his parents wouldn’t “correct him.” She just thought it was disrespectful, so she went outside to cool off. The owner of the property reported the woman got into an argument with the child before driving off in her Prius.

7:29 p.m., 1029 Hwy 87 S.- A Minimart employee refused to sell a woman beer, suspecting she was intoxicated. Deputies found the woman was in fact not intoxicated. She had three teenagers with her.
