BHS track and field members head to regionals

The Boerne High track and field program will be well represented at this year’s Region IV-4A meet at A&M – Kingsville this weekend based on their performances at the recent Area meet in Cuero.

The Boerne High track and field program will be well represented at this year’s Region IV-4A meet at A&M – Kingsville this weekend based on their performances at the recent Area meet in Cuero.

The BHS girls placed 7th as a team at Area and had 7 girls competing in 9 events. Six of the 7 advance to this weekend’s regional meet.

Tori Adams placed 1st in the shot put and 1st in the discus, Ashley Clingman finished 2nd in the shot put, Eleanor Davis was 4th in the 3200, Mary Marino came in 2nd in the 1600, Averi Aaron placed 4th in the discus and Kendall Lemm was 3rd in the high jump.

For the BHS boys, they were 5th as a team and had 13 athletes competing in 14 events and 7 of those advanced to regionals in 6 events. Also, all 13 scored at least a point for the team at Area.

The 4x100 relay of Baize, Stahl, Watts and Brown was 4th and the 4×200 of Baize, Watts, French and Stahl also came in 4th.

McCoy Bruce placed 4th in pole vault, Colby Brown was 2nd in the 100 and 2nd in the 200 and Kaiden Fischer took 5th in the discus but advances.
