STATE UPDATE:
Boerne High's Justin Koth won his first two matches at state and has advanced to the finals to be played Wednesday morning, while Chloe O’Connor in girls singles, Sophia Norwood and Eleanor Stokes in girls doubles, all won their first-round matches and were defeated in the state semifinals to earn bronze.
Koth plays Wednesday at 8;30 a.m. for gold at the Northside Tennis Center.
For the Chargers, Maddox Wilfong and Sophia Raimondo won their first-round mixed doubles match and lost in the state semifinals to earn bronze, while Amber Lewis was defeated in the opening round in girls singles Tuesday morning.

The UIL state tennis tournament is scheduled for this week and Boerne ISD will be well represented.
Both the Champion and Boerne High tennis programs have athletes that qualified for state that is scheduled to take place Tuesday and Wednesday in San Antonio.
Champion’s Sophia Raimondo and Maddox Wilfong will compete in mixed doubles, while Amber Lewis will compete in girls singles.
All the Chargers matches start Tuesday at the Northside Tennis Center near O’Connor High School and conclude on Wednesday.
The Greyhounds will send four athletes to compete at the 4A state tournament at Northside’s other tennis complex, Anne Marie.
Justin Koth is the regional champ and will compete in boys singles, Chloe O’Connor will compete in girls singles, while Sophia Norwood and Eleanor Stokes will compete in girls doubles.
