Hound track teams at District, Area meets

The Boerne High track and field teams were at Area competition this week in Cuero but before that, the Greyhounds competed at district at Canyon Lake where they did very well.

The Boerne High track and field teams were at Area competition this week in Cuero but before that, the Greyhounds competed at district at Canyon Lake where they did very well.

For the Area results, look in the Boerne Star.

At district, Tori Adams took 1st in the shot put and 1st in the discus, while Ashley Clingman placed 2nd in the shot put and was 3rd in the discus.

Eleanor Davis placed 4th in the 3200, Mary Marino came in 4th in the 1600, Averi Aaron took 4th in the discus, Kendall Lemm came in 4th in the high jump and Savannah Seibert was 4th in the long jump.

On the boys side, the BHS varsity boys placed 2nd as a team. The Boerne boys qualified 13 athletes in 14 events to Area.

McCoy Bruce placed 3rd in the 110 hurdles, was 2nd in the 300 hurdles and came in 4th in the pole vault.

Colby Brown won the 100 and took 2nd in the 200, Charlie Stahl came in 3rd in the 200 and Chase Balderas finished 3rd in the 3200.

In field events, Kaiden Fischer placed 4th in the discus, Colby Hunter came in 4th in the high jump, Asher Diller finished 3rd in the shot put and Riley Pechacek placed 3rd in the triple jump.

In relay events, the squad of Baize, Stahl, Watts and Brown teamed up for 1st, the 4x200 relay of Baize, Watts, French and Stahl combined for 3rd and the 4x400 of Brown, Migliozzi, Levada and French came in 3rd.
