Hounds have 6 football players named all-state

Boerne High had six football players named to the 5A all-state team as voted upon by the Texas Sports Writers Association.

One Greyhound was selected to the first team, another was named to the third team and four landed on the honorable mention squad.

Senior Logan Schram was named a first-team guard and senior Braden Bays was selected as a third-team defensive lineman.

Senior center Logan Fritcher, senior wide receiver Brooks Perez, sophomore quarterback Hank Hendrix and senior linebacker Hutson Hendrix were all named to the honorable mention squad for the Greyhounds team that finished the 2024 season at 11-4.

BHS won a regional title for the second time in three seasons last fall and played in the state semifinals at McLane Stadium in Waco last December against eventual state champion Richmond Randle to end their season.
