The Geneva School of Boerne recently competed at the TAPPS state swim meet where one of the girls relays earned a state medal to help the Lady Eagles finish ninth overall in the final team standings.
Geneva had eight swimmers at state, four girls and four boys, representing the Eagles.
Malyn Arnold, Abigail Bussey Raquel Moerdyk and Haylee Parnell competed for the Geneva girls team and Samuel Crews, William Crews, Samuel Siller and Reid Wilson represented the boys team.
The girls 200-medley relay of Arnold, Bussey, Moerdyk and Parnell finished third to claim bronze and also set a new school record in the process.
Also for the girls, Bussey was 6th in the 200 freestyle and 6th in the 200 butterfly, Moerdyk finished 11th in the 50 freestyle and 16th in the 100 freestyle, while Parnell placed 5th in the 100 breaststroke and 8th in the 100 freestyle.
On the boys side, Wilson, both of the Crews and Siller teamed up for 6th in the 200-medley relay. The four also came in 7th in the 200-freestyle relay, while Wilson just missed out on a state medal and was 4th in the 200 Individual Medley and placed 6th in the 100 breaststroke.
