Jan. 30, 1961 – Feb. 22, 2024

Bruce Anthony , 63, of Boerne, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 22, 2024, at home.

He was born Jan. 30, 1961, in Peru, Indiana. Bruce is preceded in death by his father, Charles Addison (“Robbie”). He is survived by his mother, Betty Cates ; sister, Denise Tellier (Larry) of Boerne; son, Charles (“Chuck”) (Bianca) of Corpus Christi; daughter, Krista Monsey (Michael) of Abilene; Terri Horn , former spouse and mother of his children; grandchildren Blake , Mallory and Jacob Monsey; nieces, Jenna Tellier Dorie, Aimee Tellier Thomas and their families; and many loving cousins.

Bruce was a military dependent who lived many places during his younger years and then in Abilene, Denver, San Antonio, and Boerne. He was a co-owner of a restaurant franchise and managed the golf area of two major sporting goods stores for many years.

Bruce loved sports, in particular, playing football in middle and high school; coaching youth football and baseball; fishing, as an avid golfer; and a Dallas Cowboy football and Dallas Stars hockey fan.

Bruce also loved all genres of music, always listening and singing along, and enjoyed cooking and catering small functions on occasion.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for 10 a.m. on March 9, 2024, at St. Mark Presbyterian Church, 208 W. Bandera Road in Boerne. Family and friends are welcome to a gathering with refreshments at the church immediately following the service.
