On Feb. 27, Dorothy Marie Hill passed away peacefully in her sleep.

Mrs. passed at the age of 94, leaving a wonderful legacy of love and a full life behind her.

She was born Dorothy Hill, a third generation Texan, to George W. Hill and Mary Frances Wood, in San Marcos, TX, on Nov. 3, 1929.

She grew up in Leon Springs, Texas, with brothers Elton and L.B. Hill. Attending Leon Springs Presbyterian Church, as well as Concordia Lutheran Church, Mrs. held her faith in God and love for others as the defining foundation of her life.

Dorothy married George on March 6, 1949, in Leon Springs, standing faithfully by his side for 65 years. Dorothy began working for Methodist Hospital in 1968, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed adventures and traveling with her husband around the country until he passed away in 2014.

Mrs. was the matriarch of the family as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her son and daughter, George Jr. and D. Annis Wright; grandkids, Jonathan Wright (Kate), Micah Wright (Heather), Deanna Wilson (Jack), and Sam (Allie), and her great-grandchildren Garrett Wilson, Dean Wilson, August Wilson, Jaxon Wright, Louis Wilson, Mary Rose Wilson, and James Wright.

Dorothy left a lasting impact on the lives of family, friends and all those she encountered along the way.

The family invites you to celebrate her life at Concordia Lutheran Church on March 1.
