Carol S. Nelson- Liebe, age 79 of Boerne, peacefully passed Saturday, September 16, 2023. Born July 15, 1944, in Tampa, Florida to Walter Thomas Macon Jr., and Esther Solveig (Woldhagen) Macon, who preceded her in death.

Carol is also preceded in death by her husband, Edgar “Ed” Liebe, and her sister, Judith Peters-Cox.

She is survived by her children, John M. Nelson and wife, Irma; Diana Nelson-Pedraza and husband, Joseph; Bonnie Borchers Duettra and husband, Andy; and grandchildren, Cortnie Cuellar, Brenna Mahnke, Derrick Nelson, Kasey Pedraza, Sydney Shults, and Hannah Duettra; her brother, Ron Macon; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Carol graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1962 and was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She retired from USAA in 1999 after 24 years in policy service. She loved music, dancing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Her smile and laughter will truly be missed.
