Angela Ellen slipped away from us in her sleep and went to her heavenly home on Nov. 27, 2023, in Houston, Texas. Angela was born April 24,1980 in Tyler, Texas, the daughter of Craig Eugene and Betty Nelle .
Angela graduated from Boerne High School in the Class of 1998. Following graduation she attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.
She was married for a short time in 2005 to Douglas Longdon Brockett. In Durango, Angela worked as an agent for State Farm Insurance. ln 2011 she moved home to Boerne due to her declining health. Angela had many serious struggles and fought with her health over the next 12 years. During this time, she never lost love of the outdoors, her horse, Chips, and her dog, Chloe. She loved Colorado.
Angela was preceded in death by her father, Craig Eugene ; her maternal grandmother, Betty Jo Shaddix; her maternal grandfather Ryland Duncan Shaddix; her paternal grandmother, Doris Lavon ; and her paternal grandfather Philip “Bud” .
Angela is survived by her mother, Betty Nelle ; her brother, Justin Craig and his wife, Debbie Grace , and their children, Noah Ryland , Kennedy Grace , Jordan Craig and Miles Deming . She is also survived by her twin sister, Amy Elizabeth Welty and her husband, Peyton Cash Welty, and their children Preston Cash Welty, Parker Welty and Paxton Shaddix Welty; her uncle and aunt, James and Mallory Shaddix and family; her aunt, Sue Ellen Shaddix; and her uncle, Lyle and Aunt Paula and family.
All these family members made a significant impact on Angela’s life, and they were dearly loved.
Angela was a strong and brave warrior throughout her struggle and touched so very many people with her amazing positive attitude, her beautiful smile and her bright spirit. She brought joy to everyone she met, and she will be missed.
A celebration of Angela’s life will be at 1 p.m. Jan. 27, 2024, at Ebensberger Fisher Funeral Home, 1265 N Main St., Boerne. A reception will follow the service at The Kendall.
