It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our beloved son, Brian Wade . Brian, 37, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Jan. 9, 2024, after a long battle with a lung disease.

As he left this world, he was surrounded by his parents, Cindy , Chuck and Darlene , and his brother and best friend, Brandon of Boerne.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eddie Rhea and Glenn , and Carolyn Klett. He is survived by his maternal grandfather, George Klett; aunts, Jana , Joy McAnear and husband John, Lisa Klett, Susan Hudgens and husband Cal, Grace McCoy and husband Jonathan; and uncle, Clay and wife Michelle; and numerous cousins.

Brian’s life began on Dec. 18, 1986, born to Chuck and Cindy in Corpus Christi, Texas. He spent his childhood in Freer, Corpus Christi and Boerne. After Brian graduated from Boerne High School in 2005, he attended Northwest Vista College in San Antonio before relocating to Bozeman, Montana, for several years.

He moved back to Boerne in 2013 where he went to work with his father and brother at Power Line Construction on April 9, 2013. He rose in the company to the position of fleet manager. His superpower was the ability to perform and manage numerous tasks for the 200-plus employees he worked with as safety/fleet manager. He was held in high regard by his co-workers.

Brian loved traveling with his brother Brandon and his cousins. They traveled to Japan last September, a much-anticipated trip by Brian. He also recently vacationed with his mother, brother, and Aunt Lisa to Hawaii to celebrate his mother’s birthday. Brian especially loved the very special fishing trips he took with his father and brother.

When he lived in Montana, you could often find him with a fishing rod fly-fishing in the cold rivers, a hobby that he loved. He loved collecting vinyl records. He was a history buff and especially liked visiting lands where historic battles were fought. He was a gun collector, a hunter, and an avid arrowhead collector.

A memorial service to celebrate Brian’s life will be held at the First United Methodist Church at 205 St. in Boerne at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 19. There will be a reception immediately following the service.
