Sherian Kay , cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, on November 25, 2023, and now is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was 82 years old. Her departure brings profound sadness to those who knew and loved her.

Born on April 30, 1941, in Woodsboro, Texas, to Walter Alexander and Mildred Delores Walzel Horner, Sherian’s life was one of love, adventure, and dedication to her family. In 1959, she moved to Houston, where she would spend the majority of her life until retiring to the beautiful Texas Hill Country in 2012.

Sherian’s life was a tapestry of rich experiences and deep relationships.

Alongside her devoted husband of 64 years, C.A. “Tony” , she embarked on numerous luxury cruises, traveling the world and exploring destinations across Europe, the Mediterranean, Russia, the Middle East, Alaska, Canada, the Caribbean, and Hawaii.

The couple also enjoyed time in Colorado and various places in Mexico during the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s.

At the heart of Sherian’s world were her family and friends.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, her favorite pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially taking them shopping and creating lasting memories. Her love for her family was boundless, and her presence in their lives irreplaceable.

Sherian’s generosity and spirit of giving extended beyond her family.

She was a proud supporter of various educational and religious institutions, including Strake Jesuit College Preparatory, St. Agnes Academy, St. Anne Catholic School of Tomball, Geneva School of Boerne, Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, St Peter the Apostle, and Scottish Rite for Children.

She is survived by her loving husband, C.A. “Tony” ; her children, Kimberly Flierl, Scott and Sarah , and Greg and Cheri ; and her cherished grandchildren, Alex, Paige, Patrick, Luke, Matthew and Tucker.

She also leaves behind her sisters, Donna Horner Rouse and Jimmy Graves Rouse, and Linda Horner Barfield, her sister- in-law Carol Roper Horner, and numerous nieces and nephews. Sherian was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mildred Horner, and her brothers, Leland Glendean, and Walter Randall Horner.

Friends and loved ones are invited to join the family for a Rosary and Visitation on Thursday, December 7, between 5:30 and 8 p.m. at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home in Boerne, Texas.

The following day, Friday, December 8, a Funeral Mass will be held at noon at St. Peter the Apostle Church in Boerne, with a reception to follow immediately at St. Helena’s Episcopal Church, also in Boerne.

Sherian’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and the joy of family. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew her.
