Herbert Anton Rittimann Jr., 78, known to many as “Junior,” died March 6, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on March 29 at Ebensberger- Fisher Funeral Home in Boerne.

The youngest of six children, Herbert was born in Converse, Texas, to Herbert A. Rittimann Sr., and Alice A. Ward.

As a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 142 union, Herbert trained many young aspiring plumbers throughout his career, including many of the current staff at Rittimann Plumbing.

He was an avid fisherman, hunter, sausage maker and a skilled taxidermist. An exacting welder and woodworker, he enjoyed the challenge of designing and building projects.

A devoted husband, father, brother and friend, his love and dedication to family and friends will be long remembered and cherished.

Herbert is survived by his wife, Sylvia Duennenberg Rittimann; three sons, Robert W. (Sherry) Rittimann, Ronald S. (Stefanie) Rittimann and Christopher P. (Lindsey) Fass; One daughter, Marisa A. Holder; nine grandchildren, Stormie, Sunnie, Kacie and Shelley Rittimann, Robert Rittimann Jr., Callie (Jez) Conner, Brittany Holder Belnoski, and Regan and Travis Fass; one great-granddaughter, Alice Rizzo; one brother, Leroy R. (Lulu Bell) Rittimann; one sister Shirley A. (Andrew) Foerster; brothersin- law Paul E Duennenberg and John C. (Kristin) Duennenberg; and former wife, Marilyn Renfro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert A. Rittimann Sr., and Alice Ward; two brothers, Howard H. Rittimann and Jerome “Jerry” Rittimann and his wife, Shirley; and one sister, Betty J.
