James Wayne Ziehmke a beloved husband, father, grandfather and cherished friend, died Feb. 14, 2025, at the age of 80, in San Antonio, Texas.
Born June 30, 1944, in Portage, Wisconsin, Jim was a graduate holding a master’s degree. He excelled in his professional life not only as a skilled plumber but also as an award-winning manufacturers representative.
Long after retirement, he was still being asked to troubleshoot in the mechanical contractor’s field. His expertise earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike.
James is survived by his wife, DeEtte. Their unwavering bond was a testament to a partnership built on shared values, love and laughter. Together they navigated life’s challenges creating cherished memories.
He is also survived by his beloved son, Brett Ziehmke, and his granddaughter, Isabel.
He was preceded in death by his precious daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Will Reardon. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date; Memorials may be made to any favorite charity that helps others.
As we remember “Jim” we celebrate a life welllived and the love he shared so generously. His kindness and infectious laugh will be profoundly missed.
