Roderick Lee Raby, 70, of Pipe Creek, Texas, passed away Feb. 8, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on Sept. 3, 1954, in Munich, Germany, to Ralph and Geraldine Raby. He married Carolyn Raby on May 4, 1990.
Roderick worked in body repair since leaving high school and the U.S. Army, with his last place of employment being Jennings Anderson Ford in Boerne, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Geraldine Raby; sister, Donna Andraes; brother, Charles Raby (wife Denise); sisters-in-law Jan Raby and Linda Raby; niece, Shannon; nephew, Thomas Raby and Douglas Raby; grand-niece, Anisa; and grand-nephew, Sidney Raby.
Roderick is survived by his wife, Carolyn Raby; two stepsons, Joseph (Jeanie Furr Dale) Lopez and Ramiro “Rocky” (Tiffany) Lopez; one stepdaughter, Julie (Jeff) Strom; four grandchildren, Zoe Spindle, and Bradley, Dylan and Everly Lopez; three brothers, Thomas “Eddy” (Kathy) Raby, Ronald Raby and Blaney (Sherry) Raby; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will take place at 9 a.m. Feb. 18, 2025, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 311 Seventh St. in Bandera, Texas, with a rosary to follow at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the St. Stanislaus New Catholic Cemetery in Bandera.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Bandera Funeral Chapel.
