Michael Hudson
Deputy Michael Robert Hudson, 45, of Bandera, Texas, passed away at home on December 6, 2023, surrounded by his family after a hardfought battle with pancreatic cancer.
Michael was born on December 28, 1977, to Joe T. Hudson Jr. and Lou Ann (McClain) Hudson in San Antonio, Texas. After graduating from Rainbow Hills Baptist High School in 1996, he went on to fulfill his dream of being in law enforcement.
He served for 13 years as a Bexar County Deputy Constable in Precinct 2. He joined the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office in October 2018, where he served his community until his passing.
In 2016, Michael met Yvonne (Gonzalez) Hudson. Three years later, they were married on October 12, 2019, overlooking the river near their home in one of their favorite places together – the outdoors. They spent many hours hiking, fishing, going on adventures, or just sitting quietly on their porch together. Michael and Yvonne had a love that was meant to be and had only strengthened and grown with time.
Michael’s daughter, Adyson Irish Hudson, was the light of his life and there was not anything he wouldn’t do for “his Ady.” He loved her with all his heart and was proud of her accomplishments and excited about her future.
Michael was a devoted husband/father/son/grandson/ brother/uncle, a loyal friend, a good storyteller, and a funny guy. One never knew what prank or joke he would pull, but everyone recognized his laugh and the sparkle in his eyes when he was up to something.
Michael loved his family, his friends, and his brothers and sisters at Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and the Kendall County Courthouse.
Michael was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Joe T. Hudson, Sr. and maternal grandparents, Robert N. McClain and Mona S. McClain. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Gonzalez) Hudson; his daughter, Adyson Irish Hudson; his parents, Joe T. Hudson, Jr. and Lou Ann (McClain) Hudson; his sister, Julie M. Hudson; his nephew, Tyler D. Hudson; and his paternal grandmother, Dorothy J. (Crawford) Hudson; as well as his extended Hudson and McClain families and his wife’s family, the Gonzalez’ of Cotulla, Texas. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
