Phyllis M. Aubry
Phyllis M. Aubry
Sept. 8, 1926 Sept. 21, 2024
Phyllis was born Sept. 8, 1926, and raised in Tacoma, Washington. She was the daughter of Howard and Anne Gillmer, having one older brother, Warren. She attended college in Seattle, then moved back to Tacoma to marry the boy she met in grade school, Ronald Aubry.
They were married 73 years before he proceeded her in death, October of 2021.
Ron and Phyllis have two children, Gregg Ronald and Jayne Marie.
Phyllis lived a life of dedication to family, always seeking the best for her husband and children. She created sweet memories for her small family and for those that she loved.
There was always a pot of homemade soup on the stove or a fresh baked apple pie coming out of the oven. She must have baked a million chocolate chip cookies for her kids and grandkids.
Later in life, she and her husband moved to Boerne, Texas, living 20 years with her daughter and son-in-law.
Phyllis had many titles over her 98 years: daughter, sister, cousin, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. All of those titles hold very special meaning to the one who voices them.
Her life was full and busy and she seemed to love every minute of it.
She died Sept. 21, 2024, in her sleep, at home, knowing all her family and friends loved her. Phyllis will be missed by all, and her departure leaves a void in this world.
