It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marinell King after a six-year struggle with dementia in memory care, a beloved wife, mother and cherished member of the Fair Oaks Ranch community.

Born Nov. 27, 1936, in McAllen, Texas, Marinell’s life was a testament to love, kindness and unwavering dedication to her family. She was educated in Pharr, San Juan, Alamo Schools and attended the university of Texas. She was also involved in tennis leagues and various women’s clubs and activities.

Throughout her years, Marinell was a beacon of strength and compassion to all who knew her. With grace and elegance, she navigated life’s challenges and triumphs, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to cross her path.

Her warmth and generosity touched the lives of many, and her memory will forever be treasured. Marinell is survived by her loving husband, Byron King; one daughter, Karen (Marty) Bane and one son, Max (Patricia) King; two grandsons Loren and Travis Bane; and two great-grandsons, August and Everett Bane. Marinell was preceded in death by her parents William and Inez Williams Bormann.

In the wake of her departure, let us remember Marinell King for the light she brought into our lives, the love she shared so freely and the lasting impression she left on our hearts.

May she rest in peace, knowing that she was cherished and adored by all who knew her.
