Patricia Ann Denny
Pat was born on April 23,1945, to the late Harry and Eva (Bruntz) Sauer. Pat grew up in Loveland, Colorado, and graduated in 1963 from Loveland High School and attended college at Colorado State University.
She married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Denny, also of Loveland, Colorado, in 1964. Pat and Denny
Ron lived in Denver, Colorado, where she worked for Cummins Diesel until 1970 after which Ron took a job with HEB Grocery Company in San Antonio, Texas. While working for HEB Grocery, they moved a few times within the state of Texas until Ron’s retirement in 2001.
Pat worked for Southwestern Bell, AT&T and Lucent Technologies in Texas for 22 years and consulted part time for an additional 10 years. In 2003, Ron took another job and they moved to Northville, Michigan, until his final retirement in 2008 after which they returned to Boerne, Texas.
Pat and Ron were married on January 21, 1964, and she passed away exactly one month shy of their 60th anniversary. Pat was a true Christian lady and strongly believed in the power of prayer. She was a member of the Oak Hills Church in San Antonio.
Pat joined the Assistance League of San Antonio in the year 2000 and continued working for the charity organization after their move to Michigan and then transferred her membership back to San Antonio after Ron’s last retirement. Pat enjoyed helping with Operation School Bell and working at the Thrift House.
Pat loved attending church, playing cards, being involved in various community activities, fishing, playing grandma, visiting with her friends and family, taking long scenic car rides, traveling various places in the world, and shopping.
Pat was a wonderful wife, a loving, caring, and proud mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Pat was preceded in death by her mom and Dad, Harry and Eva (Bruntz) Sauer of Loveland, Colorado, and her brother, Harry Eugene Sauer of Loveland, Colorado.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ron Denny; her daughter, Ronee Lynn Wyatt (Brian); three grandchildren, Cody Luckenbach (Heather), Kaila Dickey (Drew), Kara Linnens (Corey); and great-grandchildren, Cashlyn and Harper Luckenbach, Orteo and Arlow Dickey and Gracie Linnens.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on January 22, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Oak Hills Church 19595 I-10 West, in San Antonio.
