With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John Christopher Sotello, a cherished son and brother, loving father and esteemed veteran.

John peacefully departed from this world on July 15, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born Jan. 27, 1946, in Boerne, Texas, to Pedro and Guadalupe Sotello.

John was a proud member of the United States Air Force and retired after 20 years of service. After leaving the military, he moved back to Boerne to pursue his first true passion as a finish carpenter, where he worked until retiring in 2019.

His memory will forever be cherished and legacy carried on by his children, Christopher (Beth) Sotello, Sheri (Gary) Williams, Dawn (John) Freeman, Ryann Sotello, Daniel Sotello and Alisha Sotello; and four grandchildren, Nathan, Nicolas and Elizabeth Sotello and Gary Williams III.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Lupe, along with his brothers, Andrew and Raymond.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. July 27, 2024, at the Ebensberger-Fisher chapel.
