Pamela Beasley LeJeune
Pamela Carol Howes Beasley LeJeune went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 10:44 a.m. surrounded by her three children, Sharon, Steve and Bruce.
Pam was born March 14, 1942, in Akron, Ohio, to Glenn and Helen Howes. She was the middle of three children, between older brother Glenn Jr. and younger brother Larry.
Pam was a gifted musician and vocalist who began making music at the age of 9. Throughout her life she was part of an award-winning trio and she played the piano for every church she was a part of with her then pastor- husband, Doug Beasley. She loved sharing her musical talents and gifts with senior citizen centers.
She graduated from Aultman School of Nursing and had a particularly tender heart for the elderly and one special patient, a little boy named Jimmy.
She worked as an RN in hospitals, the King Ranch School, and oversaw staffing for Alpha Nurses. Her work interests went beyond nursing to include Queen’s Way Fashion and Premiere Jewelry as well as working with her beloved brother, Larry, in Colonial Life Insurance for many years.
Pam became a Christian at an early age and spent her whole life as a believer and seeker of truth. She was profoundly impacted by the Millennium Bible Institute where pastor Michael McDaniel spent countless hours deeply ministering to her.
She felt a strong connection to the whole church family. Her faith was everything to her.
Pam lived her life through simple acts of loving kindness. In her almost daily trips to H-E-B and the library she sought to connect with people. From buying groceries for others, listening to the elderly tell their stories and encouraging young moms dripping with kids, she extended the grace given to her.
She was very much an introvert who wanted nothing to do with small talk yet always welcomed a deep and meaningful conversation. Her sense of humor was one of her most endearing qualities. She had a talent for laughing at herself and just about anything that her kids ever said.
She leaves an enduring legacy of grace, honesty, unconditional love, heartfelt care for others, compassion, empathy and laughter.
Pam will be cherished and remembered as a beloved mom, grandma, grammy, Aunt Pam, sister-in-law and friend to the underdog. Pam was a lover of nature, porch swings and potty humor.
Cardinals were her absolute favorite bird, treasured along with her orange tabby cats Tangie and Toby.
She enjoyed reading scripture, the Mitford Series and anything by Karen Kingsbury.
Pam was the last remaining member of her family of origin and we rejoice in their heavenly reunion.
She is survived by two sons, Bruce (Jennifer) Beasley and Steve (Kelly) Beasley; one daughter, Sharon (Shannon) Neill; six grandchildren, Blaze, Grace, Cole, Erin and Kevin Beasley, and Eylerr Neill; two sisters-in-law, Diane Howes and Dyneene Howes; three nephews, David (Heather) Howes, with Lexi; Rich (Nikki) Howes, with Norah; and Jim (Tiffany) Howes, with Bethany, Morgan and Desiree; and two nieces, Robin Kratzer, with Ali and Heidi, and Honey Burke, with Jarah and Jariel.
In the last few years of her life, she developed a warm friendship with her ex-husband Doug Beasley.
In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring her life with a donation to the Millennium Bible Institute (sonshiplife.com) or the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) as she developed vascular dementia later in life.
A gathering to honor Pam’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. July 21, 2024, at the Patrick Heath Library in downtown Boerne. Wearing vibrant colors always brought her such joy.
