George Wayne Oliver Jr., lovingly known as “G.W.,” was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, June 25th, 2024, at his home in Fair Oaks Ranch.
He was born Jan. 21, 1948, in Omaha, Nebraska. His early years were spent enjoying baseball and the family hobby of horses. He graduated from Burke High School, where his peers voted him “most likely to succeed.”
He married his high school sweetheart, Nanci Foster (Oliver), and they celebrated 58 years of marriage on Jan. 9, 2024.
G.W. started with Franklin Life at the age of 21, where he became the youngest man in company history to earn all four honor clubs. In 1975, the Oliver family became Texas residents, moving to Hill Country Village where he served as mayor.
He then founded Insured Wealth Management Group and continued to dedicate his life to his clients, who became lifelong friends until his final day. He firmly stood by his company slogan, “Confidence built on trust.”
From an early age, George showed a passion for horses, which led him to a dedicated pursuit of owning, breeding and racing them. He won his final race on June 16, 2024, at Lone Star Park.
G.W. is survived by his wife, Nanci Oliver; children Patricia Oliver Sepulveda and Lynn Oliver Crawford; grandchildren Joshua Sepulveda, Jared Sepulveda (Brooke Sepulveda), Destiny Galvan, Victoria Galvan and Gatlin Crawford; and great-grandchildren Braidyn, Stella, Skylar and Josie.
He was a follower of Christ and enjoyed sharing the Lord’s Word with family and friends through his daily devotional. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all.
Respecting his wishes, his life will be celebrated in private.
