Mrs. Jayne Ann Gray passed peacefully into glory with Our Lord, November 16, 2023.
She was born to Dorothy Dilli and George Swink Gray on January 17, 1938, in Pampa, Texas.
When Jayne was 12 years old, she was baptized by Brother Carver at the First Baptist Church in Pampa. In early life, Jayne loved volleyball, basketball, track, archery, cheerleading and her dog, Pancho. In 1956 she graduated seventh in her class from Pampa High School. She graduated from West Texas State College while receiving the Outstanding Student Award.
In 1959 she married the love of her life, Larry . Jayne had been a resident of Boerne and San Antonio for 47 years.
Jayne served as treasurer of Boerne First Baptist Church for many years. She also served as controller for Tapatio Springs Resort for more than 30 years.
Jayne enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking and canning, tennis, bridge, Jitterbug, and Country/ Western dancing. She also loved to clip newspaper articles, photos, stories and, of course, coupons.
Jayne also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Celebration of Life Service for Jayne , 85, of San Antonio, Texas, will be conducted at noon on Saturday, January 27, 2024. Service will be at Community Bible Church, 2477 N Loop 1604 East, in San Antonio with Pastor Sean Metcalf officiating.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; two sons, Scott and wife Cathy of Cypress, Texas, and Gregg and wife Patty, of San Antonio; one daughter, Lynda and husband Robert Munroe of Choctaw, Okla.; sister Marion and Joe Gamertsfelder of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren Taylor, Eric, Ryan, Kyle , Victoria and husband Nathan Allen, Cameron Munroe and Christian .
