Scott Thomas Wilson passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on May 28, 2024, at his beloved Turkey Canyon Ranch in Bandera County.

He was born Sept. 24, 1954, at the Nix Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, to O.G. and Estelle Wilson. Scott was a 1972 graduate of Alamo Heights High School and attended Southwest Texas University. He adored his wife of 41 years, DeeAnn.

Having spent 35 years in the family car business, Jennings Anderson Ford, Scott was an incredible businessman who valued his relationships with both employees and customers. He loved to sell Ford trucks and had many customers that became lifelong friends.

He cherished his car dealer friends and relationships he made as he was involved in many different positions in the Texas Automobile Dealers Association and the San Antonio Automobile Dealers Association.

He was a pillar in both the San Antonio and Boerne business communities and always believed in keeping business local. He was the biggest cheerleader for Boerne and spent much of his time promoting the Boerne Chamber of Commerce and was on the Economic Development Corporation Board for many years.

He was also a longtime member of the Alamo Kawanis Club. He was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church of Boerne where he was also an usher.

In his retirement, he enjoyed playing golf with his buddies, especially at Boot Ranch in Fredericksburg, where he made many memories with friends and family. He served on the Boot Ranch board of directors and the development committee.

His favorite place, where he went every day to the “office,” was the ranch. He loved his longhorn cattle, whitetail deer, driving in his Polaris with his beloved dog, Ace, power washing, leaf blowing and enjoying a glass of red wine and a cigar outside with DeeAnn to watch the sunset and throw the ball for the dogs.

The Lord was his compass, and the most important thing in his life was his faith. He always gave the advice to “do the right thing” and to “pray about it.”

His love for his wife and family was steadfast and unwavering. He was the best grandfather and his five grandkids loved their “Dude.” Not only was he an incredible Dude, but he was the best husband and dad. His family adored him and could always count on his wisdom.

Scott is survived by his loving wife, Dee Ann; his daughters, Amy Berg and husband Josh, and Courtney Pruitt and husband Grant; his five grandchildren, Wilson and Lorraine Berg, Georgia, Grant Jr., and Hallie Pruitt; his brother, Jerry Wilson and wife Cheryl; sisters-in-law Carol Jean Salkeld and husband Joe, and Linda Kay Bowman; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the First United Methodist Church of Boerne, 205 James St., Boerne, Texas 78006. There will be private interment for family at Mission Burial Park North.
