Peggy, loving wife, mother of two, grandmother of six, and great-grandmother of four, passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 88 in Boerne, Texas.
Peggy was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Jan. 5, 1936, to Ray and Amanda (Morton) Weger. She attended Will Rogers High School in Tulsa. Afterwards, Peggy attended Oklahoma State University, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and received a degree in journalism.
While at OSU, she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, and the Baptist Student Union. It was at the Baptist Student Union that she met her future husband, Aubrey Jack . Following college, Peggy had a brief career working as a journalist and secretary. But she was proudest of being a loving and dedicated military spouse, supporting Jack throughout his 20-plus year U.S. Air Force career, with numerous moves around the country and one remote deployment.
During this time, Peggy raised two sons and was an accomplished Avon sales representative. Peggy was a faithful Christian and attended the Baptist church most of her life. She participated in Baptist women’s meetings and activities, and for several years was the director of the children’s Vacation Bible School at several of the churches she attended. Throughout her life, Peggy loved to do a number of crafts, including sewing, needlepoint, counted cross-stitch and knitting. Peggy also loved to entertain her family and friends and was a wonderful home cook.
Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Ray, mother, Amanda, brother, John, and her grandson, Dustin.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Aubrey; two sons, Phillip Scott and Steven; two daughters-in-law, Dee and Shannon; five grandchildren, Nathaniel, Makenzie, Kyle, Caleb and Meghan; four great-grandchildren Ellie, Henry, Murphy and Winnie; one sister, Sally; and other family.
