Alma Beatrice Hogan Moore, loving mother and nana, was whisked away to be with our Lord and Savior Monday April 1, 2024.

Internment was at Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco, Louisiana, April 6, 2024.

Born Sept. 11, 1927, to Daisy and Mack Hogan (now deceased), she grew up with 10 brothers and sisters in the Leesville, Louisiana, area. She married Mark Twain Moore Jr. They raised three daughters and one son in the Newton, Texas, area.

After retiring from her income tax and bookkeeping business and her real estate brokerage, Beatrice moved to Boerne to be near her daughters.

She authored and published one children’s book and contributed articles to various publications during her lifetime. She had the gift of “storytelling” handed down by her own father and she enjoyed putting pen to paper, creating fun fictional characters.

Beatrice loved and spoke often of her beautiful sisters, Brenda Jefferson (John), Mary Dipuma (Lucas, deceased), Betty Silver (Vernon, deceased), Lois Skaggs deceased (Preston, deceased) and all her nieces and nephews.

She was proud of her military brothers: Fred Hogan (deceased), Ira Hogan (deceased) and wife Ina Lou, Frank Hogan, Mack Hogan (Barbara), Don Hogan (deceased) and wife Bonnie, Wilburn Hogan (Glenda) and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Beatrice’s loving children are: Daisy Whisenant (Tom), Kathy Cloud (Wiley), Amanda Calder (Phillip) and Mark Wade Moore (deceased).

Grandchildren and great grandchildren are: Blake Kallemyn (Holly) and Anna, Macy, Collin, and Dax; Courtney Knighton, Matthew Whisenant and Whitney Knighton (deceased).

Thank you to the staff at Cibolo Therapy and Nursing in Boerne, her friends there and a special thank you to Mona, who Ms. Bea loved dearly.

Condolences can be left on the Legacy.com website, and cards sent to P.O. Box 985 Boerne, 78006, or to her favorite charity, the Golfers Charity, which handled her numerous projects.
