Geneva School of Boerne has named Victoria Allen as its 2025 class valedictorian and William Crew as its salutatorian, according to a school release.
Allen is the daughter of Coby Allen and Paige Allen of Boerne, and Crews is the son of Jonathan and Lindsey Crews of San Antonio. The graduating seniors will deliver addresses at the Geneva commencement xxercises in May.
In addition to being named Valedictorian, Allen serves as cditor-in-chief of Geneva’s award-winning The Boardwalk yearbook after being on staff for four consecutive years, with one yearbook named as the TAPPS 4A state champion.
She has also contributed to four Geneva stage productions as stage manager, props manager or lead actor. Such productions include Medea, Anastasia, Our Town and Murder on the Orient Express. She also has participated in varsity color guard and is a member of Quill and Scroll and National Honor Society.
Allen has been accepted to Baylor University, with the Distinction Award and the Distinguished Scholars Award; Abilene Christian University, with the Royce L. Money Chancellor’s Award for Academic Excellence and the Presidential Scholarship; Texas A&M University; The University of Texas at San Antonio with the Distinguished Presidential Scholarship; and The University of Texas at Austin, to study psychology.
She is awaiting admission decisions from multiple out-of-state universities before she decides her plan for next year.
Crews, besides earning the distinction as salutatorian, is a four-year member of Geneva’s band and swim teams. He is a member of Geneva’s jazz ensemble, playing alto sax, and the Boerne Concert Band. He plays a variety of instruments, including piano, percussion instruments, bassoon and French horn.
He received a “1” rating on all of these at TAPPS State Solo and Ensemble. He serves on the editorial team of Geneva’s award-winning magazine, The Geneva Quarterly, and he has made All-Region Band and All-Area Band all four years of high school.
He has placed in several events in TAPPS statewide academic competitions, including second place in both math and spelling. He was named a National Merit Semifinalist in the fall.
Crews has been accepted to several universities, including Baylor, Samford and The University of Texas. He hopes to major in music composition and is awaiting more admission decisions before he decides his plans for next year.
