Charger swimmers get in final tune up before district

In their final meet before their district competition, the Boerne Champion swimmers were at AAHSSL Winter Invitational in San Antonio recently.

The district meet for the Chargers and Boerne High is this weekend at the Southwest ISD Aquatics Center, Jan. 24.

RESULTS (top 10)

Bexon Harrison finished 1st in the boys 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:37.23 to break Kyle Boedemer’s 2017 school record, while Aiden Carney was 6th in the race after posting a 5:55.

Addison Graham, Cora Skoog, Cameron Kellog and Madilynne Neuman went 3-45-6 in the 200 free with times of 1:59, 2:00, 2:06 and 2:09.

Meghan Jackson and Addison Homann finished 8-9 in the race after Jackson clocked in at 2:13.20 and Homann turned in a 2:13.64 for 9th, while Owen Altermatt finished 10th in the boys 200 free with a 2:01.

Karly Whitehead won the girls 50-yard backstroke after she posted a 28.03, while Luke Bove placed 5th in the boys 50 back with a time of 28.91 and Julius Hoxhaj came in 8th with a 30.29.

Addison Graham was 4th in the girls 50 freestyle with a time of 25.48, Karly Whitehead placed 7th in 26.56 and Cameron Kellogg came in 9th with a 27.19.

Will Harrison won the boys 50 free after posting a 21.42, Ethan Altermatt and Carson Muenchow went 7th and 8th with times of 24.02 and 24.18, while Luke Bove came in 10th with a 24.43.

Will Harrison won another race after he took 1st in the 100-yard butterfly after touching the wall in 51.91 and Harrison also claimed 1st in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 54.07, while Luke Bove was 6th in the 100 back after he posted a 1:01.

Cora Skoog finished 3rd in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:03, Madilynne Neuman was 5th at 1:07, Addison Homann came in 8th at 1:11 and Meghan Jackson recorded a 1:12 for 10th.

Elena Duran posted a 40.60 in the 50-yard breaststroke for 9th, and in the boys 50 breaststroke, Jackson Hankins came in 6th with a 32.95 and Lucas Romero was 8th in 34.06.

In the girls 100-yard freestyle, Karly Whitehead, Addison Graham and Cameron Kellogg finished 3-4-5 with times of 55.21, 55.22 and 58.25, while Madilynne Neuman and Meghan Jackson were 7th and 9th after Neuman posted a 59.74 and Jackson swam a 1:00.

Carson Muenchow placed 2nd in the boys 100 free after clocking in at 52.64 and Luke Bove was 4th with a 53.06, while Aaron Mendoza finished 9th after swimming a 53.99 in a field of 130 swimmers.

Addison Graham won the 100-yard backstroke after posting a 1:04, while Cora Skoog was 2nd at 1:06, Meghan Jackson came in 4th in 1:09 and Addison Homann finished 8th with a time of 1:12.

Cameron Kellogg, Karly Whitehead and Madilynne Neuman finished 5-6-7 in the 50 butterfly after Kellogg recorded a 29.65, Whitehead turned in a 30.08 and Neuman posted a 30.20.

Julius Hoxhaj finished 9th in the boys 50 fly with a time of 27.80.

Cora Skoog placed 2nd in the 100-yard breaststroke after touching the wall in 1:17, Adriana Swanson came in 7th in the race with a 1:23, Cayden VanDyne placed 10th at 1:28.58 and Breanna Hempton was 11th in 1:28.73.
