Greyhounds prep for district track meet by running at Kerrville Tivy

KERRVILLE – The Boerne High track and field team was recently entered in the 47th annual Charlie Dobbs Antler Relays in Kerrville.

KERRVILLE – The Boerne High track and field team was recently entered in the 47th annual Charlie Dobbs Antler Relays in Kerrville.

The Lady Hounds were shorthanded because the meet was on the same night as a BHS girls soccer playoff match so they had to scratch several entries, including some relays but still scored 67 points to finish 4th. The BHS boys were third with 113 points.

Up next is the district meet held this week at Canyon Lake. For results of that meet, look in the Boerne Star.

Varsity Boys

Colby Brown won the 100 in a time of 10.74, Charlie Stahl placed 2nd in the 200 with a 22.70 and Max Migliozzi turned in a 55.22 in the 400 for 5th.

The Hounds did well in the 3200 after Chase Balderas, Cole Palmer and John Farar went 2-3-4 in the race with times of 11:10, 11:29 and 11:32.

McCoy Bruce came in 3rd in the 110 hurdles after running a 16.62 and Daxton

Roachell was 6th in 17.45, while Bruce won the 300 hurdles with a time of 43.40.

The 4x100 relay of Braden Baize, Colby Brown, Wyatt Watts and Charlie Stahl teamed up for 1st with a time of 43.22, the 4x200 of Baize, Watts, Stahl and Will French combined for 2nd with a time of 1:33.03, while the 4x400 of Hunter Freeman, Max Migliozzi, Bode Brown and Caleb Hamby placed 5th with a 3:36.96.

Kaden Fisher threw the shot put 44-10.50 for 4th and Fisher was 6th in the discus with a toss of 118-01, while McCoy Bruce cleared 11-06 in the pole vault for 6th, Colby Brown went 20-09.50 in the long jump for 4th and Riley Pechacek turned in a measurement of 43-03.75 for 2nd in the triple jump.

Varsity Girls

Savannah Seibert finished 6th in the 400 with a 1:04.26, Mary Marino took 2nd in the 1600 after clocking in at 5:19.75 and Eleanor Davis placed 5th in the 3200 with a time of 12:36.28.

The 4x100 relay of Kendall Lemm, Riley Scheidt, Mary Elizabeth Zaehringer and Samara Koenig teamed up for fifth after combining for a 52.37.

BHS did well in the shot put after Tori Adams won the event with a toss of 43-10.50 and Ashley Clingman took 2nd with a throw of 30-00.50 for second.

Averi Aaron was 7th in the shot put at 31-05.50 and also came in 2nd in the discus with a throw of 106-02, while Clingman and Adams were 4th and 5th in the discus with tosses of 101-00 and 100-09.

Kendall Lemm took 2nd in the high jump after she cleared 5-2 and Maddie Morris finished 6th after she cleared 4-8.

Kayuki Warren tied for 3rd in the pole vault after clearing 9-6 and Savannah Seibert finished 2nd in the long jump with a leap of 16-06.50.
