Comfort High suffered its fourth straight district loss in girls basketball Friday night after they fell to the Brady bunch, 37-30.
With the loss, the Deer slip to 8-16 overall and 1-4 in district. Weather permitting, they travel to Florence on Wednesday, in a game moved from Tuesday, to start the second round.
After beating Florence to open league play on Jan. 3, the Deer have dropped four straight, but almost picked up another win last Friday.
Comfort was leading at halftime, 21-17, but struggled in the second half with 4 points in the third and 5 points in the fourth for 9 total over the final two quarters.
Brady was held to 3 points in the second quarter, but bounced back in the second half with 20 points and outscored the Deer, 20-9.
Molly Gowan and Jaelyn Ruelas both scored 9 points, Alexa Lozano added 8 points and Tindall Ahrens finished with 4 as only four Deer scored in the game.
Gowan grabbed 9 rebounds to go with her 9 points, while Hernandez added 7 steals and 6 assists to her totals.
