For the second time in three games, the Boerne High boys basketball game has defeated a team in the second round of 26-5A action that they lost to in the first round.

After a first-round loss to Veterans Memorial, the Hounds beat the Patriots last week, and on Monday, the Greyhounds hosted Boerne Champion and defeated the Chargers, 75-54. Champion beat BHS in their first-round meeting held Dec. 14, but the Greyhounds returned the favor Monday night.

The Greyhounds are 4-7 in district and 17-10 overall. They are off until Friday when they visit Alamo Heights.

Against the Chargers, Casen Hoegemeyer netted 10 in the first quarter and finished with 26 points in the game.

Nic Hernandez scored 15 and Slade Salinas had 7 in the first and finished with 12 in the game.
