DEMENTIA CARE WORKSHOP presented by Franklin Park Boerne, 18 Old San Antonio Road. This enlightening three-part series is carefully designed for families and caregivers navigating dementia, presented by Hannah Calame, MSDA. The final session is Jan. 29. The event is free. RSVP to 830-816-5150.

JANUARY 24

FFA COOK-OFF hosted by Pure Country BBQ and Grill. The first-ever Boerne Champion FFA Chili Cook-Off. There will be food, fun and entertainment from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

NATURE BOX WORKSHOP at Cibolo Nature Center. They are looking for passionate volunteers to lead or assist with nature-based elementary grade activities in the classroom as part of the ongoing Cibolo Nature Center Nature Box outreach program. If you are interested, join their free informational workshop and training session to learn more about the program and curriculum. Sign in begins at 8:30 a.m. and the workshop will go until 12:30 p.m.

SMOKED COCKTAIL WORKSHOP: Delve into the captivating world of smoked cocktails with Assemble Cocktail Workshop’s exclusive From Flame to Glass session. Discover the transformative power of smoke and flame as they guide you through crafting three signature drinks: the rustic Smoked Maple Old Fashioned, the evocative Campfire Martini, and the harmonious Smoked Sage & Blackberry Margarita. KULHMANN-KING TOURS by the Boerne Area Historical Preservation Society - Step back in time to experience and explore how a Boerne family would have lived in the late 1800s. Tours go from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Historical Complex, 402 E Blanco Rd. Tours are free but donations are always welcome. Keep an eye out for different educational programs each month.

BLUEGRASS JAM: Bring your instrument and play along or just come to listen to the Bluegrass Jams while exploring the exhibits and grounds of The AgriCultural, 102 City Park Road, on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. These events are free to the public, but donations are certainly welcome.

HILL COUNTRY HOUNDIN’ hosted by Greyhound Athletic Booster Club: Help the booster club achieve their goal of raising $80,000. This year’s event will feature a great concert performance by Cannon Brand and our first ever‘Last Hound Standing’raffle! The grand prize is $5,000. DAUGHTERS OF THE REPUBLIC of Texas Chapter Meeting: The meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, located at 321 Thompson Drive in Kerrville. The speaker for the meeting will be Nancy Polk Fields McLarry, who is a longtime Joshua D. Brown Chapter member and current president of the Kerrville Genealogical Society. She is an Elder in the Chickashaw Nation, and helped her father write a book about the family, which were Chickahaw.

POWER PROFSSIONAL LUNCH by Boerne Radio: You will have the opportunity to network with 100 other business leaders at Boerne Radio’s 2nd annual Power Lunch.
