Boerne churches pair up for ‘Perspectives’ courses

Three Boerne churches will be hosting the “Perspectives on the World Christian Movement” course, a transformative educational experience designed to help Christians explore their role in God’s global mission, starting Monday.

The 15-week course will be hosted at Cibolo Creek Community Church, 30395 Ralph Fair Road, Boerne; First Baptist Church Boerne, 631 S. School St., Boerne; and Mission City Church NW, 2702 I-10 San Antonio.

The classes will be identical and start on the following dates and times: Cibolo Creek Community Church: 6-9 p.m. on Mondays starting Jan. 20.

First Baptist Church Boerne: 9 a.m.-noon Tuesdays starting Jan. 21.

Mission City Church NW: 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays starting Jan. 21.

The Perspectives course brings together a variety of experienced instructors, including pastors, missionaries and global ministry leaders, who will guide participants through four major areas of study: Biblical, Historical, Cultural and Strategic perspectives on God’s heart for the nations.

Through these lenses, participants will gain a deeper understanding of God’s global purpose and how they can engage with His mission, both locally and internationally.

Chad Mason, pastor of Missions at First Baptist Church and former course coordinator, said, “Perspectives is all about seeing how God is at work across the world and how He calls each of us to be part of his story. This course has transformed the way many Christians view their faith and the world around them.”

The course is for anyone looking to grow in their faith and gain a broader perspective of how they can serve in God’s mission. Registration is open to anyone interested in deepening their understanding of missions and global Christianity.
