LAW ENFORCEMENT The following is a brief recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department, Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. BOERNE POLICE DEPARTMENT 

JANUARY 9

9:14 a.m., on Cascade Caverns Road – A caller reported batteries had been stolen from the side of a truck.

2:03 p.m., 400 block of W. Bandera Road – A subject came into the lobby to report fraud.

5:39 p.m., 30 block of Herff Road – A caller reported a vehicle had spun out and was stuck on a curb. Luckily, no injuries were sustained. The road was temporarily closed while the vehicle was towed.

JANUARY 10

10:25 a.m., 100 block of Glade Drive – A caller reported he had received two scam calls in recent days. The caller said the scammer pretended to be a cable company and was asking the caller how many TVs they had.

11:19 a.m., 300 block of Stone Creek – A caller reported that he had received threats that someone was going to “shoot up” his home.

12:54 p.m., 100 block of Whisper Way – A caller reported that her neighbor had turned off her water. The caller added that there had been ongoing issues involving other similar situations.

8:09 p.m., 100 block of Menger Springs – A caller requested assistance from law enforcement with a patient who was being combative.

JANUARY 11

8:44 a.m., 100 block of Moss Rose – A caller reported he went to move one of his vehicles from the road and saw that it had been hit.

2:54 p.m., 900 block of N. School Street – A caller reported a grenade had been donated to the location. The caller evacuated the building and the grenade was placed in the parking lot.

3:15 p.m., 400 block of W. Bandera Road – A caller reported that an individual attempted to steal almost $300 from the location.

JANUARY 12

12:30 a.m., 500 block of River Road – A two-vehicle accident occurred in the parking lot. There were no injuries, but a male was detained.

2:08 a.m., 800 block of Johns Road – A caller reported some odd movements coming from a vehicle. The caller added that it appeared as though someone was watching him.

1:30 pm., mile marker 545 E. I-10 – A female was detained after a routine traffic stop.

4:14 p.m., 100 block of Richter – A caller reported someone living in their vehicle at the corner of her property had an aggressive dog. The caller requested for law enforcement to come by and speak with the woman.

4:17 p.m., 100 block of City Park Road – A caller reported someone had broken into his vehicle. The caller said he had gone on a walk and when he came back, the window had been broken.

4:31 p.m., 100 block of City Park – While law enforcement was responding to the above vehicle break in, another vehicle was reported to have been broken into.

5:43 p.m., 1000 block of River Road – A male was reported to be looking into vehicles in the parking lot.

JANUARY 13

1:14 a.m., 35000 block of W. I-10 – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the location.

1:48 p.m., 200 block of Menger Springs – A caller reported hearing two gunshots from behind her house.

5:50 a.m., 100 block of Copper Creek – A caller reported a male who was walking in the area. The caller was concerned due to recent criminal misconduct at the pool house.

8:11 a.m., 37000 block of W. I-10 – A caller reported that someone had attempted to steal gas out of the vehicle.

5:41 p.m., 100 block of Autumn Ridge – A caller reported a vehicle had been parked in front of the caller’s house for a couple of hours. However, the caller said they did not see anyone inside of the vehicle. Law enforcement came to the location and found that the occupant was asleep in the back of the vehicle.

JANUARY 14

8:00 a.m., 600 block of Oak Park – A caller had questions about a red tag that was on his vehicle.

9:22 a.m., 100 block of Staffel Street – An employee reported a male who was sleeping in the parking lot and urinating on a tree at the location.

9:48 a.m., 1400 block of S. Main Street – A caller reported freezer parts had been stolen.

9:53 p.m., 100 block of Old San Antonio Road – A caller reported an apartment in her complex that was housing eight males. The caller said she suspected the males were doing drugs and that they had been threatening her.

KENDALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE 

JANUARY 8

10:30 a.m., 200 block of Greystone Circle – A caller reported an instance of identity theft.

11:09 a.m., 200 block of Miraval – A caller reported windows had been stolen from his construction materials.

12:38 p.m., 300 block of Brooks Crossing – A caller reported fraud and identity theft involving an ex-spouse.

2:20 p.m., at FM 3351/Highway 46 E – Bergheim Fire Department was called to the location after a vehicle accident occurred, to remove debris from the road.

4:13 p.m., 500 block of Sunflower – A caller reported her son had been followed home after he got off the school bus. The caller added that the vehicle was driving very slowly.

JANUARY 9

12:15 p.m., 100 block of N. FM 3351 -- A rollover vehicle accident was reported. The vehicle had run into the caller’s front gate. One of the occupants reported being injured.

2:49 p.m., 100 block of Candy Lane – A caller reported his vehicle was broken into. Three firearms and a radar detector had been stolen.

4:44 p.m., 100 block of Juniper Lane – A caller reported that his wife had assaulted him and he had been injured.

7:48 p.m., N. Highway 87 – A caller reported an intoxicated woman who abruptly left Dairy Queen and went to the nearby apartment complex, where she started trying to open doors.

JANUARY 10

9:43 a.m., 800 block of Clubs Drive – A caller reported a firearm had been stolen from his vehicle in early December.

10:06 a.m., Poehnert/Waring Welfare Road – A caller reported a truck with out-of-state license plates had been parked on the side of road since 5 a.m.

10:36 a.m., 100 block of Sonrisa – A caller reported a male who was going door-to-door trying the door handle on vehicles.

5:35 p.m., Sky Rose Ranch Road – A caller reported that someone had broken her electric gate.

6:11 p.m., 300 block of Waring- Welfare Road – A caller reported a mule on his property who was rather presumptuous and kept eating the caller’s hay.

JANUARY 11

7:53 a.m., 100 block of Ridge Trail – A bull was having a carefree walk down the road, burning off the morning’s breakfast.

11:28 a.m., 100 block of Elm Springs Drive – A caller requested Boerne Animal Control’s assistance after he had cut a deer out of a fence. He said the deer was dragging one of his back legs.

12:17 p.m., 100 block of Upper Cibolo Creek Road – Boerne Fire Department was sent to investigate white smoke. It was found that a fire was causing the smoke and the property owner said he was going to extinguish it.

4:30 p.m., on Walnut Grove Road – A caller reported a surprise visit from a goat who quickly made himself at home on the caller’s back porch.

JANUARY 12

12:30 a.m., 500 block of River Road – A two-vehicle collision was reported in the parking lot. A male involved in the accident was detained.

6:57 a.m., 600 block of W. Bandera Road – A female’s vehicle was searched after an officer smelled marijuana when he pulled her over.

10:06 a.m., 20 block of S. FM 3351 – Ten goats were living on the edge as they walked along the edge of the road.

12:51 p.m., 300 block of Waring Welfare Road – A caller reported her dog had brought in a dead bat. The caller was wondering if the dog needed to be tested for rabies.

JANUARY 13

10:16 a.m., 100 block of Estrella Lane – A caller reported construction materials that had been stolen from a house that was under construction.

10:54 a.m., on N. Highway 87 – A caller reported his vehicle had been stolen from the location. The caller said he knew who had taken his vehicle.

11:58 a.m., 500 block of Front Street – A caller reported her brother had stolen her phone and wouldn’t return it.

10:32 p.m., mile marker 535 W. I-10 – A caller reported they were involved in a vehicle accident, but the other driver had driven off.

JANUARY 14

12:28 a.m., 32200 block of E. I-10 – A caller reported two vehicles were parked outside the location with their lights on.

2:44 p.m., 100 block of River View Drive – A caller reported his roommate stole his vehicle. Law enforcement made contact with the roommate.

2:50 p.m., 400 block of FM 1376 – A caller reported a dark truck with a trailer parked at a nearby location. It was found to be part of a work crew.
