Geneva swimmers compete at Winter Invitational

Members of the Geneva School of Boerne boys and girls swim teams competed at the AAHSSL Winter Invitational at NEISD recently.

The Eagles competed against public and private schools in a big meet and held their own.

For Geneva, Abigail Bussey won the girls 200yard Individual Medley with a time of 2:36.73, Bussey was also 7th in the 100-yard butterfly after posting a 1:11 and Bussey finished 10th in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 32.13.

Reid Wilson won the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 31.0 and he also won the boys 100-yard breaststroke after posting a 1:08.65.

Wilson was 11th in the 200-yard IM after he turned in a time of 2:27.47 and came in 12th in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 27.89.

Haylee Parnell posted a 36.71 for 3rd in the 50-yard breaststroke and she finished 4th in the 100- yard breaststroke with a time of 1:20.

Parnell also came in 14th in the 50-yard freestyle after posting a 28.68 and was 16th in the 100-yard freestyle after posting a 1:04.09.

William Crews won the boys 200-yard freestyle after posting a 1:53.59, was 22nd in the 50-yard breaststroke in 28.05 and came in 33rd in the 100yard breaststroke in a time of 1:21.65.

Sam Crews placed 27th in the 50-yard breaststroke with a 40.18 and was 45th in the 100yard breaststroke with a 1:27.66. Crews also was 72nd in the 50 free with a 28.83 and finished 75th in the 100 freestyle after posting a 11:05.10.

Maylyn Arnold came in 28th in the 100 back after she finished in 1:28.07, was 30th in the 200-yard freestyle after posting a 2:41.24 and placed 65th in the 100-yard freestyle with a 1:13.17.
