The Boerne High girls basketball team picked up a 50-point district victory Tuesday night on the road at Veterans Memorial.
Boerne used a fast start and defeated the Lady Patriots, 80-30.
The Lady Greyhounds are 7-4 in district. BHS is tied for third with Kerrville Tivy after the Antlers lost to Pieper on Tuesday and is also 7-4.
Boerne and Tivy have split their two district contests this year, with each winning at home. They both have five 26-5A games remaining.
BHS is 16-11 overall and hosted Smithson Valley Friday and then plays at Boerne Champion on Tuesday.
In this past Tuesday’s game, the Lady Greyhounds were up 21-3 by the end of the first quarter and then outscored the Pats in the second, 18-12, for the 39-15 lead at halftime.
Boerne’s best-scoring quarter game in the third after they tallied 29 points and won the quarter, 29-12, for the 68-27 advantage.
BHS won all four periods and took the fourth quarter, 12-3, to get its win.
Boerne shot 50 percent from the field and had four players finish in double figures.
Hartlee Menn and Chloe Donnell both tallied 16, Meredith Mcleod added 15 and Addison Saur netted 11.
J.T. Hernandez recorded 6 points, Savannah Salinas and Oleyvia Ramos both scored 5, Jenna Ruede had 4 points and Melia Gonzalez chipped in with 2 points.
Mcleod made it a double- double with 12 rebounds to go with her 15 points, Hernandez pulled down 7 boards, Donnell dished out 8 assists, Ruede came up with 6 steals and Ramos had 4 steals.
