SAN ANTONIO – Three Boerne High football players were selected to play in last weekend’s San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game held in the Alamodome.

Greyhounds Braden Bays, Jaxon Baize and Logan Fritcher were picked for the game but because of injuries only Bays suited up for Team Blue.

Bays played on the defensive line and helped Team Blue to a win. The senior started and rotated in every other series and also played on special teams.

Even though Fritcher and Baize weren’t able to play, they attended the game and even served as captains for the pre-game coin toss.

Team Blue defeated Team White, 24-14, and the MVP of the game was Jamare Smothers from Roosevelt, who had two interceptions in the game to help the Blue team win.

No Boerne Champion football players were selected for this year’s contest.
