Consecutive winning seasons by the Geneva School of Boerne football team has resulted in a lot of postseason awards for the players in the program this year, both in the district and at the state level.
As far as district awards, Brady Chandler was a firstteam offensive wide receiver and also a first-team defensive player for his role in the secondary, while linebacker Reid Wilson and defensive lineman Koen Huebner were first-team defensive selections.
Second-team offensive picks include offensive lineman Luke Brunsvold, offensive lineman Griffin Miller, running back Greg Gallagher, wide receiver Reid Aderholt and Bryce Hanover was listed as an athlete.
Defensively, lineman Greg Gallagher, lineman Griffin Miller, linebacker Caleb Baggs, along with secondary players Jackson Mitchell and Aderholt were named to the second team.
Honorable mention picks on offense were lineman Reid Wilson, lineman Ian Jayroe, running back Chris Oliver, tight end Luke Brunsvold, wide receiver Noah Brunsvold and kicker Parker Eiland.
HM defensive selections include linebacker Luke Brunsvold and secondary player Wyatt Bruss.
All-State
Brady Chandler was a Second- Team TAPPS All-State player on offense as a wide receiver and on defense as a secondary player.
Reid Wilson was an Honorable Mention All-State linebacker and Koen Huebner was named Honorable Mention All-State defensive lineman.
Also, Chandler and Wilson were nominated for the TAPPS Player of the Year award. Through fan voting, Chandler and Wilson were named to the TAPPS All-Texas Team.
The Eagles ended the season with a record of 6-5 and went 3-2 in district. Geneva hosted a first-round playoff game and fell to Pantego Christian at home in the first round, 47-24.
