Geneva girls defeat C.C. Incarnate Word

The Geneva School of Boerne girls hoops team made the long drive to Corpus Christi on Tuesday and took care of business against C. C. Incarnate Word.

The Eagles breezed through Tuesday’s district contest, 60-19, to stay unbeaten in district.

Geneva is 19-4 overall and 5-0 in league play. The Eagles are off for a week and won’t take the court until they host Castle Hills on Tuesday.

Only five players scored for the Eagles and four of them were in double digits.

Kyra Petty outscored the entire Incarnate Word team by herself after she tallied 20 points, Maegan Riebel netted 16 and Grace Detterick and Madeline Egbert both scored 10, while Morgan Howard chipped in with 4 points.

Detterick made it a double-double with 11 rebounds to go with her 10 points, Howard and Riebel both dished out 5 assists, Riebel came up with 6 steals and Petty recorded 5 steals.
