The Chargers defeated Boerne last Saturday and then handed Pieper its first loss in 26-5A on Tuesday.

Champion knocked off the Warriors on their home court, 52-45. The Chargers are 2-1 in district and were looking to make it three straight in 26-5A after they hosted New Braunfels Friday.

After that, Champion (15-3 overall) is off until Dec. 27-28 when they help to co-host the Boerne ISD Holiday Tournament.

Gavin Peck continues to shoot it well and drained four 3-pointers, went 3 for 4 from 2-point range and was 3 for 4 at the foul line on his way to 21 points.

Kristian Herrera knocked down a pair of 3s and was 4 for 4 at the free-throw line to go with a 2-pointer for 12 points.

Nik Georgelos, Baeden Burdick and Alex Ross all finished with 5 points, with Georgelos hitting a 3.

Noa Basco and Logan Scott both chipped in with 2 points.

Herrera grabbed 4 rebounds, Peck, Georgelos and Scott all pulled down 3 boards, while Burdick dished out 5 assists.
