All hands on deck!
A slow second quarter really hurt the Boerne Champion girls basketball team during Tuesday’s district contest with Pieper.
The Lady Warriors were up 12-9 after one quarter, but the Lady Chargers struggled in the second and only managed four points and were outscored 20-4 in the period to trail at the break, 32-13.
Pieper pulled away from there and posted a 64-33 victory after the Chargers couldn’t make up much ground in the second half.
The Lady Chargers are 2-3 in district after an 2-0 start.
Champion was at New Braunfels Friday and then is off for a week before helping to co-host the Boerne ISD Holiday Tournament, Dec. 27-28.
