The Deer traveled to Stockdale on Tuesday to take on the Lady Brahmas and fell by 15 points.
Stockdale broke open a close game with a strong second quarter and went on to post a 44-29 victory.
With the loss, the Deer fall to 7-9 on the season.
They will take some time off and await the arrival of Santa Claus before heading to the Nueces Canyon Tournament, Dec. 27-28.
Comfort kept it close early and was down 14-12 after one quarter, but Stockdale outscored the Deer in the second, 12-4, to take a 10-point lead into halftime, 26-16.
The Lady Brahmas added to their lead in the third by winning the quarter, 14-6, to open up a 40-22 advantage.
Comfort did win the final stanza, 7-4, for the 44-29 final.
Jael Hernandez led the Deer in four categories after she tallied 16 points, 7 rebounds, 7 steals and 3 assists.
Jaelyn Ruelas netted 9 points, Cynthia Leos and Molly Gowan both dropped in 2 points, while Tindall Ahrens recorded 5 rebounds, 5 steals and dished out 2 assists.
