Betty Ann Devon

January 19, 1935 – April 9, 2022

Betty Ann Devon (nee Asher) was called home to be with the Lord on April 9, 2022.  Betty was born on January 19, 1935, in Comfort, Texas, to Marguerite and Asa Asher. She graduated from Comfort High School and attended Hunter School of Art in San Antonio.
Betty had many interests. She enjoyed painting, especially portraits, many of which were displayed and sold at the Comfort Art Gallery. She was an avid reader and enjoyed caring for her home, family and pets.

Betty worked for many years as a dental assistant in Boerne. She also enjoyed volunteering in various capacities in the community.
Betty married John Peter Devon on April 28, 1956.  Together, they had twin daughters and a son.
Betty is survived by daughters Jaye Devon and Kaye Devon-Rozacky; son-in-law Russell Rozacky; granddaughters Ashley Carter and Devon Gleason; step-grandchildren Lawrence Rozacky and Erin Whaley; great-step-granddaughter Rose Whaley; and many nieces and nephews.

Betty is preceded in death by husband John Peter Devon; son John Christopher Devon; parents Marguerite and Asa Asher; and brothers Asa Jr. and Preston Asher.
At Betty's request, her life will be celebrated at a private memorial with immediate family.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to an Alzheimer-dementia charity of your choice in honor of Betty's memory.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the staff at Holt & Holt Funeral Home of Boerne.  To share words of comfort with the family, please visit
