Boerne Independent School District Friday unveiled the winning artwork for its 2024 holiday card — a “Happy Holidays” drawing of the Christmas tree on Main Plaza, submitted by Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary fifth grader Amber Ralph.
Finalists in the contest along with the winner were announced at the sixth annual Boerne ISD Cookies, Cocoa & Toy Drive Friday at central office.
Mykala Jones, a 12th grader at Boerne High School, was named the runner up. The following students were announced as winners at the campus level: •
Harper Krause, fourth grade at Cibolo Creek Elementary.
• Mary McCurley, fifth grade at Curington Elementary.
• Sebastian Cahill, third grade at Fabra Elementary.
• Eleanor Beschoner, fourth grade at Herff Elementary.
• Evan Mendoza, third grade at Kendall Elementary.
• Emma Sun, first grade at Van Raub Elementary.
• Eva De La Garza, fourth grade at Viola Wilson Elementary.
• Catena Patillo, seventh grade at Boerne Middle School North.
• Hannah Ramos, sixth grade at Boerne Middle School South.
• Avery Kavanagh, seventh grade at Voss Middle School.
• Isabella May, 10th grade at Champion High School.
More than 50 student art pieces were submitted for the contest. The finalists and winner were voted on by a selection committee. Boerne ISD congratulates all the talented student artists that participated in this year’s contest.
