Christmas memories, gifts and the Polar Express

THE BOOKWORM

Let Your Heart Grow Young by Constance Andrea Keremes

Let your heart grow young at Christmas, Care and sorrow melt away. Listen for a child’s laughter, From some long-past yesterday. Harken back to feathery snowflakes, Whispering softly through the night, Listen for the harness jingle, Feel the North Wind’s playful bite. Taste the peppermints and chocolates, Gingerbread and sugarplums, Hear the gladsome yuletide carols, And the rum-pa-tum of drums. Deck the halls once more with holly, Set the old Yule log aglow, Gladly seek the Star of Wonder, As you did once long ago. Let us all grow young at Christmas, Brimming full of hope and cheer, May we keep the joyous wonder, In our hearts throughout the year.

As you reminisce with family and friends about holidays past, imagine that very first Christmas. Whatever your faith, it is always enlightening to ponder all the many religions of the world.

From Christmas to Hanukkah, this is truly the season of light — a time of hope, warmth and good will toward all.

The Patrick Heath Public Library wishes everyone all the joys and blessings of this holiday season. ‘Tis the season of lights, candles shining bright as stars to chase away the darkest of your cares.

Rejoice in this time of cheer; counting your blessings for family and friends dear to you. Our library will be closed on Dec. 23-26.
