The Geneva School of Boerne girls basketball team opened district play Tuesday on the road at Schertz John Paul II and dominated the Guardians.
Geneva cruised to an easy win, 75-18, to start league play at 1-0. The Eagles are 11-3 overall and were home Friday to host Holy Cross in a district contest.
Geneva had four players finish in double figures after Maegan Riebel netted 27 points on 9 of 14 shooting from 2-point range to go with three 3-pointers. She made it a double-double after she dished out 10 assists to go with 6 rebounds and 2 steals.
Morgan Howard dropped in a dozen points, while Kyra Petty and Madeline Egbert both tallied 11. Sopris Oglesby and Grace Detterick chipped in with 6 points each and Payton Boles added 2.
Petty collected 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 steals, while Egbert finished with 4 steals.
