The Champion and Boerne High swim teams were in action at the Alamo Heights pool in the Alamo Heights vs. Boerne vs. Champion meet held earlier this month.
In the final team standings, the Chargers won both the boys and girls sides with the boys scoring 740 points, while the girls tallied 613 points.
On the girls side, Alamo Heights was second with 551 points, followed by the BHS girls with 500 points. On the boys side, the Mules were second 644 and the Boerne boys were third with 296 points.
In the 200-medley relay, Champion’s Karly Whitehead, Kate Canales, Cameron Kellogg and Cora Skoog took 1st in 1:50.91, while on the boys side, the Charger team of Will Harrison, Owen Altermatt, Bexon Harrison and Ethan Altermatt won their race at 1:44.43.
In the girls 200 freestyle, Champion’s Kate Canales won the 200 in 1:57.83 and Bexon Harrison of CHS won the boys 200 free in 1:43.78.
Champion’s Cameron Kellogg took 1st in the 200 IM in 2:15.77 and Carson Muenchow of CHS won the boys race in 2:13.57.
Charger Cora Skoog won the girls 50 free in 25.01 and BHS’s Lauren Summers and Brinley Robinson were 3rd and 4th in 27.56 and 28.04.
Cooper Wagner of BHS won the boys 50 free in 22.14 and Will Harrison of CHS was 2nd in 22.81.
Chargers Cameron Kellogg won the girls 100 butterfly in 1:01.38 and Ethan Altermatt won the boys 100 fly in a time of 59.47.
Charger Cora Skoog also won the 100 freestyle with a 53.82 and Greyhound Lauren Summers was 2nd in 59.35, while Champion’s Julius Hoxhaj took 2nd in 55.56 in the boys race.
Greyhound Sarah Heilesen won the 500 freestyle in 6:07.05, Charger Breanna Hempton was 2nd in 6:16.29 and Owen Altermatt of CHS won the boys race in 5:30.28.
The Chargers girls 200-freestyle relay of Kate Canales, Cameron Kellogg, Karly Whitehead and Cora Skoog captured 1st in 1:42.08 and the Champion boys team of Bexon Harrison, Will Harrison, Ethan Altermatt and Carson Muenchow teamed up for 1st in a time of 1:31.17.
Karly Whitehead of CHS won the 100 backstroke in 1:02.09 and Brinley Robinson of BHS was 2nd in 1:08.37, while Charger Will Harrison won the boys 100 back in a time of 58.19.
Addison Graham of CHS was 1st in the girls 100 breaststroke in 1:10.74 and Charger Bexon Harrison was 1st in the boys race after clocking in at 1:02.58.
The Champion girls team of Meghan Jackson, Cayden VanDyne, Addison Graham and Madilynne Neuman took 1st in the 400-yard free relay, while the Chargers were 1st in the boys race after Carson Muenchow, Owen Altermatt, Aaron Mendoza and Nash Belson teamed up for 1st in 3:41.36.
Also, in the mixed 200yard medley relay, Will Harrison, Kate Canales, Bexon Harrison and Cora Skoog was 1st after recording a 1:44.96.
Champion’s Kate Canales won the 100-yard IM after posting a 1:00.96 and Charger Carson Muenchow was 2nd in the boys race with a 1:01.85.
