The Bobcat boys basketball traveled to Knippa on Tuesday and came away with its first victory of the season.
Comfort crushed the Crushers with a 34-point win, 65-31 and is 1-1.
The Bobcats visited Burnet Friday and then host Fredericksburg Monday at 1:30 p.m.
Despite the lopsided score, Tuesday’s game was tight early and Comfort was only up by four at the end of the first quarter, 12-8, but started to pull away in the second.
The Bobcats took the second stanza, 19-4, and was leading by halftime, 31-12.
Comfort won the third quarter, 20-9, and jumped ahead by 30 points at 51-21 going into the final stanza.
The Cats also claimed the fourth period, 14-10.
Jared Valadez and Jaydin Steward both netted 15 points and Jackson Dear finished with 10 points as three Bobcats were in double figures.
Alex Padilla netted 8, Jovani Zapata added 5, Trent Berny and Omar Rivera both dropped in 4, Bryce Hanna had 3 and Gabriel Gonzalez hit a free throw.
Steward grabbed 7 rebounds and had 5 steals, while Zapata tallied 8 assists.
