Creekside At The Cibolo launches weekly podcasts

CREEKSIDE AT THE CIBOLO

Creekside at The Cibolo is hitting the airwaves.

Some of you may only be familiar with our segment here in the Boerne Star, but did you know we also have a new weekly show on Boerne Radio?

Tune in to “Creekside at The Cibolo” on Boerne Radio 103.9 FM every Saturday at 9 a.m. or catch up on past episodes and listen on demand wherever you get your podcasts.

We’re rolling out a new episode every week and already have seven episodes released and ready for listening. These cover a variety of interesting topics in conservation that are relevant to the community. Plus, you’ll hear different perspectives and specialties from our weekly guests, including Cibolo regulars you’ll get to know over time and special guests from the community.

In the debut episode, Creekside’s host Brian Davenport, communications director at The Cibolo introduces the “why” behind Creekside at The Cibolo. You’ll learn a little more personal side to our backstory that you may not have heard before.

• Episode two: You’re introduced to one of our favorite dynamic duos at The Cibolo, Noah Lawrence and Sarah Berringer, as they share their roles and passion for what they do.

• Episode three: We’re joined by Ben Eldredge, executive director of the Cibolo Conservancy, to explore essential conservation issues impacting the Boerne community, from water rights to public parkland.

• Episode four: We chat with The Cibolo’s lively land manager, David Touchon, about land preservation in the Texas Hill Country.

• Episode five: We bring in Alysa Meeks, Nest Nature School director, to share the power of nature-based education and the transformation she sees in her students.

• Episode six: You may recognize our guest by his beautiful images and articles often featured in the Boerne Star. Craig Hensley, a Texas Nature Trackers biologist with Texas Parks & Wildlife, joins Brian in the studio for an insightful chat about connection and conservation in nature.

How often do you think about trees? For Ryan Bass, the city of Boerne’s environmental program manager and special guest in our seventh episode, the answer is every day.

From Arbor Day anecdotes to managing our heat islands, the importance of tree conservation in our community cannot be understated — tune in. Visit to catch up on the episodes mentioned above, listen to new episodes live on Boerne Radio 103.9 FM every Saturday at 9 a.m. and follow Creekside at The Cibolo wherever you get your podcasts.
