CELEBRATING THE ARTS

Hill Country Council for the Arts (HCCArts), invites you to join us in this Season of Giving, as HCCArts and the Cibolo Creek Quilters Guild have again partnered for our annual Stocking Stuffer program.

These two organizations are combining forces to sew 150 custom stockings and stuff them full of goodies for deserving women in our community. The stockings will be given to all the women served by Kendall County Women’s Shelter and the Hill Country Pregnancy Care Center.

The children are covered through other wonderful programs in the area, so our focus is to pamper the moms.

Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries, one of our newest partners, will join us in stuffing our stockings; this year’s hand creations are generously provided to us by Artelashe Design-Fabricate- Finish; [email protected], Artelashe. square.site.com.

We have 150 Christmas stockings to fill, one for each of the moms. To make participating easy, we accept cash donations. You can sponsor a stocking with a $100 donation, and we will do the shopping for you. Let us know how many stockings you would like to sponsor, and send the check to HCCArts, c/o Stocking Stuffer Program, P.O. Box 2024, Boerne, TX 78006; or go to the website, www.hccarts.org and donate online.

All donations are tax deductible. Contact president@ hccarts.org if you have a bulk donation you would like to donate. We also welcome volunteers to join us on the day we gather to stuff the stockings.

We are grateful for your generosity and to the women of the Cibolo Creek Quilters Guild for painstakingly sewing these holiday stockings for each and every mom. Cibolo Creek Quilters Guild is a community of quilters and fiber artists who gather for friendship, sewing and developing creative sewing techniques.

They promote and advance the art of quilting by exchanging ideas in all aspects of quilting, as well as supporting the community with charitable quilts, service projects and events. Meetings are at 6:30 p.m. the second Thursday each month at the Patrick Heath Public Library, 451 N. Main St.

HCCArts is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, and recognized by Americans for the Arts Business pARTnership Movement, partnering with local and Hill Country businesses to promote the Arts in Texas Hill Country. Our focus is to enhance community awareness, develop opportunities for involvement, encourage individual and corporate support, and to develop a long-range plan for promoting the arts within the 19 counties of Texas Hill Country.
